CELEBRATING… making a good impression
Coexist Community Kitchen Branding
In applying for a job with the Coexist Community Kitchen as their creative marketing manager, I was keen to make a good impression. As a test for myself and to show my commitment towards the role, I wanted to demonstrate many of the skills they were asking for in the job description.
So, I approached my application with the mindset “what would be the most creative way to market myself”
The cover letter was designed as 3 posters (2 pages equivalent) branded in their colours and style, with titles picked from their job advert. I created three illustrations to embellish the design, promoting themes of good food, community, connection and fun.
During the interview, I was given a question in advance to prepare for. They asked how I would market their new range of creative hampers. For this, I prepared a presentation explaining my process, but accompanying it, I created their own hamper. This featured printed materials, home made food with branded packaging, and even a piece of brownie for them to enjoy!
My thought process was to simulate how it would feel to receive this treat, and demonstrate my skills in branding, design and marketing.
