CELEBRATING… Stories from everyone
Between The Lines Logo
During my very first conversation with Jess Glaisher, founder of Between The Lines, she presented me with a simple sketch of her vision for the logo.
This provided the perfect starting point to develop a logo and brand for her community of writers whose stories weren’t being shared.
How Jess found working with me…
“From the first meeting, Cai put me at ease about my ideas and supported what I was trying to do, showing a genuine interest in everything I was saying, and understanding exactly what I was trying to create. I felt able to give honest opinions about what he had created in order to develop the design together into something I am really happy with.
As someone with a severe anxiety disorder, working with new people can sometimes be daunting and stressful. At no stage did I feel worried whilst working with Cai, though, because he was so friendly and thoughtful throughout the process.”
— on what she loved about working together
“The logo Cai created for me is for a writing community I'm starting. I wanted something memorable and welcoming, something that would be recognisable, and interesting to people who had no idea what the community was about. Through our discussions, Cai not only created a beautiful set of logos for me, but made me think more deeply about what I was trying to create. By asking questions about my reasons for creating the community to inform the design, my motivations became clearer. Now I have beautiful logos and clarity about my project!”
— on the value this logo brought
“Cai was thoughtful, considerate, and open to discussing the design at all stages. I sent him a pencil drawing of some squares that looked vaguely like books, and he transformed it into something beautiful, and so much more interesting than the original. If you have a creative idea that you don't know how to execute, I can highly recommend Cai. If you have design needs for your company or personally, he will help you to create something memorable and excellent. I really can't recommend him or his work highly enough.”
